So Your Misses Got Hyperemesis (Gravidarum)
Chapter 2: Definitions
Part 2: When Will the Hyperemesis Gravidarum Pass?
Let’s get it straight: It’s impossible to know when your partner’s hyperemesis gravidarum will pass.
The doctors who treated my wife said that for most women, it passes at the end of the first trimester. We were really hoping for improvement in my wife’s condition when we reached weeks 14-15, but it didn’t happen.
Other people we spoke to, like medical staff or other women who suffered from hyperemesis, told us that around week 20 they felt relief. Some of those women told us that one day they woke up, and it was as if nothing had happened. It sounded magical, and we were really looking forward to that moment… But unfortunately, that wasn’t our case either.
Hyperemesis accompanied us until the end of the pregnancy, always intense and without mercy.
I really hope your situation will be easier than ours. But at least our experience can be of some assistance to you and your family.
Since we dealt with severe hyperemesis, I accumulated a lot of knowledge on the subject, which allowed me to write this book.
You’re welcome, buddy.
